The clinical sensitivity and specificity of ImmunoCAP mold has been documented in several studies. The clinical trials with Pharmacia CAP System in Japan included 5 fungi (Penicillium, Cladosporium, Aspergillus, Candida, Alternaria). The sensitivity was 47/53 (89%) and the specificity 128/146 (88%) compared to the clinical diagnosis (1).
