How does clotting time effect ECP levels?

ImmunoCAP ECP

The eosiniphil release of ECP in vitro during clotting is time-dependent. ECP levels in serum increase with time as the ECP release from the eosinophils will continue until serum is separated from the cells. In a healthy person, the difference between plasma and serum levels is less than in a patient with an inflammatory disease.

Recommended Clotting Times: 60-120 minutes.
