Product Description

Test Principle

Anti-tryptase, covalently coupled to ImmunoCAP, reacts with the tryptase in the patient serum sample.
After washing, enzyme-labeled antibodies against tryptase are added to form a complex.
After incubation, unbound enzyme-anti-tryptase is washed away, and the bound complex is then incubated with a developing agent.
After stopping the reaction, the fluorescence of the eluate is measured. The fluoroscence is directly proportional to the concentration of tryptase in the serum sample.

To evaluate test results, the responses for patient samples are compared directly to the responses for calibrators.

Patient Sample
Results for patient samples are obtained by evaluation against a calibration curve. Patient samples are tested in singles while calibrators are tested in duplicate when obtaining a full calibration curve.

Measuring Range
Undiluted sample 1 - 200 µg / l.
The range can be extended by sample dilution with ImmunoCAP™ IgE / ECP / Tryptase Sample Diluent.

Precautions
A definitive clinical diagnosis should not be based on the results of any single diagnostic method, but should only be made by the physician after all clinical and laboratory findings have been evaluated.
